GRAPHIC DESIGN
As a communication specialist, I've been involved with multiple branding and marketing efforts for private sector, higher education, and non-profit clients. Whether art directing, designing, or leading creative teams, I believe in being in listening and being flexible and innovative in the process. I particularly enjoy the ideation and collaboration phases with clients and other professionals whose combined skill sets benefit projects.

Black Bear Conservation Coalition
I completed the graduate program in Graphic Design at LSU. My thesis centered on rebranding the Black Bear Conservation Coalition, a non-profit credited with bringing the Louisiana Black Bear from the brink of extinction back to its historic territory. Subsequently I was asked to lead implementation of the new brand and communications strategy.
Louisiana Family Recovery Corps
The Louisiana Family Recovery Corps was created in the wake of the 2005 Hurricanes Katrina and Rita to respond to the massive needs of Louisiana citizens. I had the honor of serving as the creative director for the Louisiana Family Recovery Corps annual report. I requested access to five families who had been assisted by the Louisiana Family Recovery Corps. These amazing men, women, and children would represent the thousands of survivors. I first interviewed each and chose meaningful locations for a photoshoot. Their stories impacted me deeply. But as disrupted as their lives were, I saw in their eyes incredible strength, hope, and charity. Because of this, I chose to depict them looking directly into the camera, strong but not beaten, facing their futures head on. I staged the shots and art directed the talented photographer David Humphreys. Copywriter Tod Davidson followed the visual concept of five leading sections with words relating to the families—purpose, impact, knowledge, change, and challenge. The report was recognized
national and I was given “Mosaic Champion Award” by the American Advertising Federation-Baton Rouge.
